For more than 15 years, WiseWell Psychotherapy has set the standard for family-centered psychotherapy in the Halton Region — long before it became a trend. We are built on a simple truth: people heal in relationship — to themselves, to each other, and to the spaces that hold them.
As a clinical Social Worker and the Founder of WiseWell, I have spent over two decades helping individuals and professionals uncover their own capacity to heal and become an authentic expression of their true Self. I believe that healing is both deeply personal and universally possible — and that every person deserves a place where their story can be held with clarity, compassion, and respect.
My own journey has required the same work I guide others through. I’ve had to heal, reshape patterns, and learn to meet myself with honesty and softness. That ongoing process is what allows me to sit with clients authentically — fully myself so you can be fully yourself. This is the heart of my work: deep listening, meaningful connection, and guiding people back to their own inner steadiness and truth.
-
WiseWell is trusted by women, couples, and families across Halton, and by midwives and physicians since 2011, for care that is grounded, connected, and clinically sound.
We support people navigating:
The perinatal period — pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, loss
Relationship challenges
Anxiety, overwhelm, and stress
Identity transitions and “who am I now?” moments
Family dynamics and intergenerational patterns
Professionals seeking consultation, steadiness, or clarity
Whether you’re stepping into therapy for the first time or returning during a new season of life, you’ll find care that meets you exactly where you are — without judgment, without pressure.
-
Healing looks different for everyone, which is why WiseWell offers multiple pathways to connection and support. Our small, hand-picked team of therapists is chosen not only for clinical expertise, but for warmth, integrity, and a shared belief in connected care.
We offer:
Psychotherapy — Individual, couples, and family sessions
Education — Workshops, groups, and community-based learning
Consultation — Clinical guidance for professionals
The Nest — A space built to feel like home
The Well — A blog where stories of healing and belonging live
Every service is designed to help build momentum toward emotional clarity, grounded resilience, and a life that feels more like home.
My therapeutic presence is grounded in empathy, realism, and emotional safety — offering a space where you can explore, question, and grow at a pace that feels right for you.

For more than 15 years, I’ve believed — and seen firsthand — that people heal in relationship: with themselves, with each other, and with the spaces that hold them. My work is rooted in the conviction that every woman, family, and individual has the capacity to grow into a more authentic, grounded version of themselves when they feel truly seen and supported.
My own path reflects this. I’ve navigated change, stress, and self-doubt, and the practices that helped me — mindfulness, reflection, and compassionate inquiry — now shape how I support others. This personal healing allows me to show up authentically, and it’s why I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels like home: steady, warm, and deeply human.
-
I support women, couples, and families across Halton seeking clarity, connection, and meaningful change. I hold a special interest in:

Major life transitions

Newcomer, refugee, and multicultural family experiences

As a Registered Social Worker and EMDR therapist, my approach blends clinical expertise with deeply relational care.
I work as both a witness and a guide — helping you slow down, ask the right questions, clarify what’s really happening beneath the surface, and write new, more empowered stories about your life.
My sessions weave together:
EMDR for trauma and emotional processing
Mindfulness + meditation practices
Compassion-based inquiry
Evidence-informed therapeutic models
Traditional healing modalities
A calm, grounded presence that makes space for truth, clarity, and change
Every part of my work is designed to help you reconnect with yourself, cultivate resilience, and step into a life with more ease and alignment.

I believe every child, teen, parent, and family carries a story worth honouring — and that healing begins when we feel seen, understood, and supported. My work is grounded in the belief that behaviour always has meaning, and that even in moments of overwhelm or uncertainty, there is a good reason for why we do what we do. Helping families uncover those reasons — with compassion, not judgment — is at the heart of my practice.
My own experiences as a parent deepened my passion for supporting women through pregnancy, labour, postpartum, and the profound identity shifts that come with it. I’ve witnessed firsthand how these seasons shape our mental health, our relationships, and our sense of self. That understanding fuels my commitment to walk alongside families during their most vulnerable transitions.

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in connection. I aim to create a space where you and your family can slow down, breathe, and explore what’s really happening beneath the surface.
Here’s what working together looks like:
A compassionate, non-judgmental environment where your story guides the work
Time spent truly getting to know you — your strengths, your patterns, your family dynamics
Exploring the “why” behind behaviours to bring insight, understanding, and relief
Strengthening communication and connection among children, parents, and partners
Developing new, healthy patterns that help you move toward your goals with confidence
Together, we uncover the gems that are already there — the resilience, insight, and potential that may have been overshadowed by stress or struggle. My hope is to be a steady, thoughtful guide as you and your family move toward healing, connection, and meaningful change.

My work as a Registered Psychotherapist grew out of my own lived experience. After navigating pregnancy, labour, and postpartum myself, I developed a deep commitment to perinatal mental health, birth trauma, loss, grief, and the profound impact life transitions can have on relationships. I know how much courage it takes to reach out — and I believe that everyone deserves a secure, non-judgmental place to land.
This belief guides everything I do: creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and safe enough to heal. -
I support individuals, couples, and families who are moving through difficult chapters — moments of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. My experience includes working with:
Perinatal and postpartum mental health
Birth trauma, loss, and grief
Relationship strain during major life transitions
Family systems navigating change
I also proudly support 2SLGBTQ+ clients and am dedicated to maintaining a positive, affirming space that can hold the unique challenges and strengths within this community.
-
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, relational, and collaborative. I honour you as the expert in your own life, and work alongside you as a guide — offering attunement, compassion, and curiosity. Together, we’ll explore your story in a way that brings clarity, insight, and emotional grounding.
My goal is for you to feel empowered, motivated, and more connected to yourself and the people who matter most.Thank you for the bravery it takes to begin this journey. I look forward to connecting with you personally.

I believe healing is never one-size-fits-all. Every person’s story deserves an approach that reflects who they are, where they’ve been, and what they hope to grow into. My work is rooted in the belief that people heal in relationship — relationships to themselves, to others, and to the spaces that hold them.
My path into psychotherapy was shaped by years spent supporting individuals in moments of crisis, courage, and profound change. These experiences showed me the strength people carry even in their hardest chapters — and why safe, informed, connected care matters. -
I support individuals, couples, and families navigating:
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
Abuse and recovery from abusive dynamics
Codependency and relationship patterns
Addiction and sobriety maintenance
Challenging or fractured family dynamics
Life transitions and identity shifts
I work with people who need a space that is grounded, non-judgmental, and deeply attuned — a space where their full story is welcome.
-
My approach is integrative and eclectic, intentionally tailored to each client’s needs. I draw from:
CBT + DBT
Psychodynamic therapy
Trauma-informed and somatic-aware frameworks
Narrative therapy
Person-centered and attachment-oriented models
My therapeutic style is both compassionate and active. I aim to walk alongside you — not leading, not pushing — but helping you find clarity, grounding, and agency as you move through what feels stuck or overwhelming.
-
My background includes extensive experience in crisis response and supportive care, including:
Crisis line manager for sexual assault and domestic violence
Support staff at an inpatient treatment centre
Manager of a sober living residence
These roles shaped my ability to pair empathy with informed action — helping clients feel understood, safe, and empowered.
I am currently completing my practicum at WiseWell Psychotherapy under the supervision of Sarah Patterson, RSW, MSW. I am grateful to be part of a practice known for 15+ years of trusted care in perinatal and family mental health across Halton, and for the opportunity to support clients as they move toward healing and growth.

I believe meaningful support begins with genuine connection. Reaching out for help is often the hardest step, and everyone deserves to feel welcomed, seen, and supported from the very first moment. As someone who has spent years studying human behaviour and care systems, I’m driven by a deep commitment to creating spaces where people feel safe enough to begin their healing — no matter their story or starting point.
-
As the Client Care Coordinator at WiseWell Psychotherapy, I support individuals and families who are taking that courageous first step toward therapy. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, coping with stress or past experiences, or simply looking for someone who will listen with empathy, I’m here to guide you with clarity, warmth, and respect.
-
I bring my background in Social Work, trauma-informed practice, and relational care to ensure every person who contacts WiseWell feels understood and supported. From your first email or call to matching you with the right therapist, my goal is to make the process feel seamless, grounded, and judgment-free. I’m here to hold space, answer questions, and help you feel confident as you take the next right step in your healing journey.

I believe people deserve to leave every space — and every practice — feeling better than when they arrived. Yoga, to me, has always been more than movement. It’s a pathway to steadiness, emotional grounding, and coming home to yourself. My purpose is to help people reconnect with their own inner calm and to remind them that their mind and body are not separate — both deserve care.
This is why I teach: because healing happens in relationship — with ourselves, our breath, and the spaces that hold us — and I’m honoured to help create that space.
-
I support individuals who are seeking more than a workout — people looking for grounding, gentleness, emotional regulation, and a way to reconnect to themselves.
This includes:Women navigating overwhelm, stress, or transition
Individuals exploring somatic healing and mind–body integration

Those drawn to restorative, YIN, and compassion-based practices
Children and youth through specialized kids yoga programming
At WiseWell Psychotherapy, I work closely with Sarah Patterson to co-lead our Mindful Self-Compassion + Yoga programming, supporting clients who want emotional healing and nervous-system connection through movement.
